Today I spent most of the day sewing, just on thing. Yikes! But it tured out really good, I think! I created a diaper changing pad. It has a way cute outside cotton fabric, some batting in between cotton and flannel, then a vinyl layer for the actual changing part. I got my idea from
here. Although, I had to great creative and do things my own way. Like the binding is all hand stitched (yeah, my fingers are feeling it, it hurts to type right now). But I think it looks really good! Tell me what you think!!
Here is the changing pad half open. Pretty cool huh?
All folded up! I love the turtles!
Way to go Sara! Your creations look great. I have tried sewing (off and on) my whole life. I took sewing classes when I was younger, but I don't seem to have the patience for it. I can tolerate to sew simple curtains or something like that, but to follow a pattern - is something I CANNOT do! So I think it's great what you are doing! Have you considered selling stuff online? I don't know a lot about it, but have you heard of Etsy? I am sure you have! Well, keep up the cute creations!
ReplyDeleteSo cute Sara, that's some talent you have there.
ReplyDeleteit's so exciting that you're doing this stuff!! I loved those nursing covers when I was nursing!! That changing pad is adorable. I also love the turtles. They've got some really cute fabric out there these days.
